The Story of Ken Fleming (Frozen Oak) Photography

I am a Colorado native and have a profound love and passion for capturing beautiful and unique images of nature and wildlife. I've been married to my best friend and the love of my life for 38 years. We have two sons that have flown the coop, but visit often! They bring us tremendous joy and enrich our lives daily. My wife and sons encourage, cheer me on, and support me in my photographic and print artistry, for which, I will be eternally grateful. I will also always be grateful to my extended family and friends for their encouragement and support.

In the fall of 2003, I captured the Frozen Oak image above. It is THE image that hooked me on photography and print artistry. I'll never forget the feeling of capturing this unique and beautiful moment in time. I had never seen ice form in the shape of a leaf before or since. Capturing the moment the ice was sliding off the leaf started a passion in me that continues to grow every single day. I hope you see and feel that passion in every image you view on my site.

I capture my images with the finished product in mind. This means understanding what I have to have "in camera" to make a stunning and artistic print in post production. I strive to make the finished print as close to what I experienced in the field as possible. I am a full process photographer from capturing the image to print artistry.
